Another popular and healthy item we have is our Hawaiian Acai Bowl.  Acai has been getting more and more popular these past few years, and there’s no question why; it is packed antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, fiber, protein, and healthy fats.  It is also delicious when topped off with a mix of granola, macadamia nuts, and coconut flakes, sliced banana, strawberry, pineapple, and blueberry.  Finish it off with a drizzle of honey and you got a snack that’s not only good for your heart, but also good for your taste buds.

Eggs ‘n Things during Lent..

Lent Options Pt. 1

Non meat dishes for anytime of the day!

Lent is a season wherein Christians fast and give up worldly pleasures until Easter Sunday. It is also a time to pray, reflect, and give to the poor.  Lent lasts a total of 46 days, we’re here with a two-part series to help out those who are fasting this season.

First on our list is our Ahi Steak and Eggs. Ahi is how Hawaiians call the Yellowfin Tuna, a species found in tropical and subtropical waters all over the world. Our Ahi Steak can be cooked rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, or well done.  You can also choose your rub for it: we can simply sauté it and we also have a Cajun or Furikake Rub for your Ahi.  This dish is served with eggs cooked your way and your choice of potatoes, pancakes, or rice.

Lent 1

Another non-meat choice is our Eggs Benedict Florentine. Just like our very popular Eggs Benedict, the Florentine comes with English muffins, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce, but we switched out the Canadian Bacon for sautéed mushrooms and spinach.  This makes it a lighter choice over the Eggs Benedict, and a Lent-friendly option until Easter.

These menu items are available from 7AM to 2PM and 4PM to 11PM, so you can have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  Also, our Vegetarian or Meatless dishes are not limited to the above items.  Stay tuned next week for part 2 tackling Lent-friendly dishes on our menu.

These Dinner Entrees Will Make You Say YES

And we’re back with this series, here to help you out to make good dinner choices and to answer the difficult question: “What’s for dinner?” Eggs ‘n Things is for dinner.  Here are our Top 3 Dinner Entrees to narrow it down.

  • Garlic Shrimp Plate

One of our newcomers in the beginning of 2016, the demand for our Garlic Shrimp Plate was outstanding. Sautéed in garlic butter with crushed red peppers on top, we partnered it up with rice and it also comes with a choice of green or potato salad.  This dish will definitely make you a little shellfish selfish; you wouldn’t want to share.

  • Hapa Hamburger Steak

Another one of our newer dishes, our Hapa Hamburger Steak has been a fan favorite since day one. Hapa literally means “half” or “part” in Hawaiian. This Hamburger Steak is called a Hapa because it has both our brown and white gravy, and mixing them both is definitely Onolicious. Topped off with a strip of bacon, we don’t question why it’s so popular.

  • Paniolo Loco Moco

The Paniolo Loco Moco has definitely stood the test of time, being the most popular dinner entrée since we started serving dinner.  This loco moco has white gravy, bacon, mushrooms and onions.  With just the right amount of everything, it will instantly be your favorite from the first bite.

  • BONUS: Chamorro Loco Moco

We usually just post three dishes on this series but we have to mention our Chamorro Loco Moco. It’s just like a regular loco moco, but it’s a little extra: it has dinanche white gravy, Chamorro sausage, mushrooms and onions. This loco moco mixes both Aloha and Hafa Adai and it’s a favorite for spicy food lovers.

These dinner entrees are the most popular ones that everyone, both tourists and locals, order. But if you’re feeling a little adventurous or have any questions with our vast menu, please feel free to ask your server and we’ll be more than happy to help you out.

Dessert is definitely the big finale after dinner; either that or simply something to satisfy your sweet tooth. Whichever it is, here are our three picks from our dessert menu:

  • Whip Pancake Sampler

A few posts ago, we discussed the popular pancakes from our pancake menu that’s available all day long.  If it’s still hard to choose, our Whip Pancake Sampler has strawberry, banana and blueberry pancakes topped off with whipped cream and macadamia nuts. It lets you try the different pancake flavors without getting too much pancakes.

  • Ice Cream Waffle

The average temperature on Guam throughout the year is around 80 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Definitely ice cream is a staple in many restaurants, but we’ve done something special with this treat.  Take a regular crispy Wells waffle, add strawberries, bananas or pineapples, top it off with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and you got our Ice Cream Waffle.  Share it or not, we’re not going to judge.

  • Fresh Fruit Cheesecake Waffle Fold

Imagine our crispy Wells waffle with creamy cheesecake filling and fresh strawberries, served with whipped cream and chocolate syrup. Now imagine having two of these. Our Fresh Fruit Cheesecake Waffle Fold is exactly just that. You can also get this with bananas or pineapple, but fresh strawberries are still the most popular.

‘Tis the season for……Holiday Pancakes

From all of us here at Eggs ‘n Things, we are all excited to announce our Holiday Pancakes for this year:  The Caramel Pecan Pancakes.

A little trivia: these pecan pancakes are actually making a comeback. From 1974, we have had pecan pancakes on our menu. This year, they will grace us with their presence but for a limited time only.

Holiday Pancakes

We added chopped, candied pecans inside three fluffy pancakes, dusted with fine powdered sugar, topped with whipped cream and drizzled with caramel syrup. Sprinkle some more chopped pecans on top and you got the Caramel Pecan Pancakes.

The pecans in the pancakes both give it a little crunch that balances out with the fluffiness of our pancakes.  It is perfect for those of you have a sweet tooth, for dessert, or simply to treat yourself this holiday season.

These wonderful Holiday Pancakes will be available starting tomorrow, December 21st, to the 27th.  Come and get some while you can.

On a different note, we will be closing early on Christmas Eve, December 24th, from 7AM to 8PM.

  • Eggs Benedict

The Eggs Benedict is definitely for those who are fancy at heart and wants photo-worthy breakfast.  Everything goes better in twos, and so does our Eggs Benedict.  We start off with our unique English muffins topped off with Canadian bacon, poached eggs, and Hollandaise sauce along with your choice of rice, potatoes or pancakes.

Crab Cake

  • Crabcake Benedict

For those who are not into pork, the Crabcake Eggs Benedict is a good option.  We switched the Canadian bacon with a crabcake made from imitation crab meat. We must warn you that this dish is not for the faint of heart, because it will definitely knock your socks off from the first bite.

Our Hawaiian Style Loco Moco is both something you would want to share (because it is quite a big portion) and something you would want to keep to yourself (half of this delectable dish will not be enough).  Now, this isn’t your regular old loco moco; bed of rice topped with a beef patty, gravy and your choice of egg.   We added sautéed mushrooms, onions, and Portuguese sausage to the party.  You won’t regret getting this dish for breakfast.

Our Top 3 Pancakes!

Pancakes You Should Get When You Visit Eggs ‘n Things

When someone says Eggs ‘n Things, first thing that comes to mind are our delicious pancakes. Just like our omelets, we have a lot of choices for our pancakes for morning alone. This is the first post of a series and here are the pancakes you should get when you visit Eggs ‘n Things:

  • Strawberry Whipped Cream Pancakes

These pancakes are the most popular out of all the other pancakes, not only because it’s delicious, but also because it is what we would call “Instagram-worthy”.  They’re probably more photogenic than us on our best days. Strawberries are also rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.

Most times, you don’t need any syrup with the strawberry whipped cream pancakes, but if you do, most people go with the traditional maple, as the sweetness helps cut some of the tartness from the strawberries.

  • Banana Whipped Cream Pancakes

Alongside our most popular pancakes is the world’s most popular fruit… but in pancakes.   Bananas are low in calories, does not contain sodium, fat, or cholesterol. We recommend these delicious pancakes be paired with our coconut syrup to truly give you that tropical island experience.

If you order these, it is a must to pair it with our coconut syrup.  For some reason the banana coconut combo is amazing.

Banana Whip Pancakes

  • Blueberry Whipped Cream Pancakes

Last but not the least on our list is our Blueberry Whipped Cream Pancakes. Blueberries are high in antioxidants and vitamin C.  During the past decade, blueberries have gotten more popular than before, making its way into different dishes, including pancakes; and we’re glad it did.

We think the blueberry whipped cream pancakes are amazing just as they are, but for some reason, if you want to try it with the syrup, these taste great with any of our 3 syrups, Maple, Guava and Coconut.  Maple being the sweetest, Guava being the most tart, and coconut being the creamiest.

Blueberry Whip Pancake

Don’t forget that these pancakes are available for both DINE IN and TAKE OUT from 7AM to 2PM and 4PM to 11PM, every day.
